Welcome to Yogalini
Yoga for all
As a Yoga Teacher, my goal is to help your mind and body connect and develop a deeper understanding of yoga. I aim to provide a wide range of classes for people of all backgrounds and experiences. Are you ready to make a positive change in your lifestyle?
About Me
A Life of Balance
Having suffered with chronic back pain for well over a decade, I was frustrated that I could not find anything to help alleviate the pain; until I discovered yoga.
In order to deepen my understanding, I studied my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training where yoga originated: Rishikesh, India.
The foundation of my practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, I strive to promote an understanding of the inter-dependency of all these aspects in personal health and well-being.
Practice & Education
Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a popular branch of yoga in India. The word "hatha" means force, meaning this yoga focuses more on the physical technique. Whilst in the Western world, hatha yoga focuses purely on the asanas (poses), whereas my classes also incorporate the practice of meditation, pranayama and mindfulness.
Regular practice of hatha yoga can lead to: lower stress levels; increased energy; more restful sleep; improved circulation; and improved general well-being.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a Taoist form of yoga that is much more slow paced where poses are held for a longer period of time. As a more meditative approach to yoga, this practice aims at cultivating an inner silence whilst increasing flexibility and improving circulation.
Yin yoga classes at Yogalini attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.

Frequently Asked Questions
Get Quick Answers to Your Questions
Do I have to bring any equipment with me?
A positive mental attitude, yoga mat and bottle of water is all you need! If you have any yoga straps or blocks you want to bring with you, feel free.
Please note that during shavavasana some people prefer to bring warm clothes to relax in, others bring a blanket.
How is Yogalini different from other yoga classes?
As a Hindu, I have been raised with the ethics of yoga my entire life. I have incorporated this into my training in India to help cultivate the most authentic yoga class possible. On top of this, I target each class to a specific goal and tailor it to the individuals attending the class to ensure they have the best experience possible.
Who can attend your classes?
Anyone and everyone! My classes are open for anyone looking to try yoga as a complete beginner to someone who has been practicing for years. Each class is a safe space to improve your practice and deepen your understanding of yoga.
Do you have to be flexible to practice yoga?
Absolutely not. Yoga is not about being flexible, but in the practice of yoga your flexibility improves. You may not be able to reach your knees at the start of a session but could finish being able to touch your toes. It is all about practice and warming up correctly.
